My new rollcage back from powder coaters-pics

I picked up my cage from the powder coaters today. I think it came out pretty nice. Hopefully I'll get to it this weekend. My new harnesses shipped from Crow Enterprizes yesterday, who were extremely helpful on the phone and made them up specific to my needs the very same day I ordered-I can't speak high enough about their excellent customer service.

Looks very nice Ed! Is that your wife on the stairs with the glass of wine? She must be impressed with the cage sitting in the hallway, eh?

If your wife is anything like mine, she's not marvelling at the cage, but rather marvelling at how you could be marvelling at the cage.

If your wife is anything like mine she's thinking "Hmmmmm, new powder coated roll cage = 20 trips to the day spa"

You guys are funny! I think every house should have a cage in the front entry.

It's an Autopower. I know that folks either love 'em or hate 'em, but I came across a "deal". It all started with something to mount harnesses on.....

Hey Ed,

Don't let em kid you. the dog only wants you to get the cage in so he can take a ride with you. the dog is on your side. the wife on the other hand is another story. I agree with the rest.....the wife is scheming her share of the wallet. Nice work on the cage

John,
My wife is the same way. She saw me STARING at pics of Princeton's awesome work on his twin turbo setup and uttered a Japanese word and walked away...loosely translated "junk"

I have the cage and two racing seats in my living room because they showed up during a snow storm and I can't move my porsche outside to put them in front of the garage. I now have a real cool tv chair set up can't wait for the super bowl !

Steven: That may be the safest place to watch TV-have you seen the Directv commercials where the guy dies when something fell on his head?

When you attach your roll cage are you taking out the complete rear valance ? I have the das type smaller roll bar that attaches to the bolt in points and I guess that all goes by the way side . It seems that you have a full race set up.

I'm thinking I'll leave it in, and make two cutouts to clear the rear tubes going to the firewall.

I'd mount it right where it sits :-)
The wifey will love you for it, and it will also make her feel like she's part of your passion.

I've got Recaro Speeds for seats.

I'm not picking it up off of the carpet if my wife's around-got the carpet cleaner handy!

Ed -

Where did you have it powder coated and what was the cost? I have my cage sitting in pieces and boxed up in the garage right now. I am putting mine in as soon as we get a weekend over 60 degrees.
