mystery part on 85 911
Found this resistor behind the glove box. What is it for? Self destruct? Ejector seat? ???

It looks like a wirewound ballast resistor of some type. First one I've seen in a Porsche environment. It may be associated wit AC fan speeds or some such use. Usually involved in a high current application..;-)

Yes, it's for a fan, I'm pretty sure, hmm, which one. I'll have to check in my books.
