Hi, all - I need your advice. My '88 Targa has been doing
only eye candy duty for past 10 years. Lucky I haven't scraped it raw nosing a series of daily transporters within inches all this time. This little beauty now suffers from headliner sag and general body gasket woes 'tween window and roll bar and top of engine compartment. I have no idea if the motor must drop to replace various and sundry seals. The car runs like new, and doesn't leak (well, a drop now and then) but I'd like an opinion on the soundness of the synchromesh rings, valve train, etc. I guess I need a "general contractor" to objectively advise and send the car to proven specialists if necessary. So, who are the good shops in the greater L.A. area - the kind you go back to faithfullly because you trust 'em? Thanks for your ideas. Tom (orig. owner) '88 Venetian Blue Targa - sitting @ 90K mi. Take your car over to TRE http://www.tremotorsports.com/index.html and let Dave and the guys take care of you. It would take a lot of effort to find more honesty or better quality workmanship.
