Is the extra small caliper on the rear for a hydraulic handbrake?

The small caliper on the rear is a mechanical handbrake caliper (parking brake) made by Wilwood but extensivly modified by myself for better mounting and operation. 380x32 front disks with 4 pots 228x28 rear disks with 4 pots Originally fitted to a 993 GT2 evo that ran at Le Mans in '97

What made you decide to take your brakes to such a high level? More Power? Track use? BlingBling appeal? Nice job.

89911- a bit of everything you mentioned, but mostly because a buddy had them for sale and we were like- imagine those on a lightweight 911.

He said they would never fit an SC so i had to prove him wrong.

Ummmm,... The front rotor is on the wrong side. Otherwise, nice setup. I had the same on my SC, and they rocked!!

I thought some brakes went on the front and some on the back. Could it be that these are of the leading edge variety?

Good eye Rattlsnak! Unless I'm missing something, it does look as though both fronts and rears need to be swapped around. No biggy. Also, just so you know, you are missing a few studs on that front hub too!

With 19" Ruf Wheels and 15" GT2 brakes, what kind of monster engine is it going to have? Nice work so far. |

Rattlsnak- Yeah i know the rotors are on the wrong side, they were fitted up temporarily so i could get some photo's after the calipers were refinshed. Eric Coffey- yeah i only fitted 3 studs to cancel out the extra weight of those rotors!! 930fan- Yeah it is Estoril Blue, with a little pearl in the mix to make it a bit different. Currently running a tweaked SC lump while i get the car fully up and running. Still considering what to replace it with, either a 3.6 with custom injection and possibly increase to 3.8, or, 3.3 930 with some tweeks to around the 400hp mark. Not too keen on fitting a tail for the intercooler though, anyone using a charge cooler with separate radiator in a 930? Or there's always the engine in the Rothmans 956 in the showroom. Not sure the 915 box could cope though!

I need a setup like this, what would it cost and where do I get it? Will the rotors work with 930 calipers?
