Will, you have a subject-verb agreement problem there (there ARE dolts, or there IS a dolt). Unless, of course, your intention was to sound like a hayseed for humorous purposes.
Sorry, couldn't resist. |
NOH20,
I put 0W40 in my '89 and the thing wouldn't stop smoking. Replaced it with good ole 15W50 and it was fine. That stuff is like sewing machine oil. |
20W50 Synthetic
Amsoil 20W50...They make both a street oil and a racing oil. The street oil can be bought at close to Mobil-1 prices. The racing oil is up there with Redline and not the right product for Street cars anyway.
See my tech article on Pelican Parts site. The article is 7 years old but the fundametals are the same. PM Me or e-mail for Discounts. Don Stevens AKA Amsoil Dealer p911sc44@hotmail.com |

That would explain why I haven't been able to find M1 15/50 in any of the local auto stores...
Yeah, the Mobil1.com 'pick an oil' recommended an SUV 5w-40 for my turbo. Ironic that the branding to make the oil more marketable (SUV) backfires when selling to a premium oils consumer like the p-car crowd. |
