904 Spyder?

I just saw a pic of what looked like a 904 spyder or something. Does anyone have more info/pics. Personally I love the 904 and this car looked pretty interesting.
Thanks

that was some kind of special hill climb car I think. It wasn't very succesful as I recall. I have read about it but don't remember the complete history.

It's not a 904. It's a 718 Spyder.

Edit: Not sure but it looks like the 8-cylinder version 718/8 that had the motor from Porsches' first Gran Prix racer the 804.
It shares a lot of ressemblance to the RS 60 or RSK.

There was a 904 Spyder the 904/8 Spyder or Berg Spyder. It was based on the 904 chassis but shoewd little resemblance on the exterior.

Apparently you can get the ugly one in 1/43 scale die cast as well.

Wasn't that (the car pictured later) called the kangaroo? there was an article in Pano or Excellence a year or two ago about the car and I remember it having a strange name.

Nick-named 'Kangaroo' because it didn't handle all that well - ie hopped around a lot.

Also because it was so light it kinda hopped when it took off. It was 0 to 100KPH in 4.8 sec. Pretty quick in those days.

Great slide show Steve. Thanks.
