Seat rail lubrication - what to use?
Before I replace my seats, I want to lubricate the mechanical parts and the slider. What is a good lubricant to use? I have lithium, graphite, moly, and several others to choose from. Looking for something that will stay in place but not crud up the carpet.

This was asked recently and I answered with this:
"I like to clean them (rails, sliders, etc.) as much as possible and use very little grease. White lithium is a good ol' stand by, but anything that won't melt when the car sits in the sun locked up will do. Something that doesn't stink. A synthetic wheel bearing grease would be a good choice for that. The nice thing about white grease is that if and when you reach under the seat and get some grease on your hand, it's not that obnoxious." I'm thinking today that the best grease you have and darn little would be the way to go. |

Thanks Zeke. I did a search first but missed your earlier post. I'll go with the lithium grease.
