AC experts where do I get these fittings?

OK I am moving along on my AC upgrade project when I ran into a snag today,I went to my local guy that's making me the hoses and I need a o-ring style fitting in a 90 degree elbow but it has to fit # 8 hose on the crimp end and # 6 fitting on the o-ring end,my local guy does not have this fitting in his catalog so where do I get these? I need 2 for my rear fender mounted condensor and 1 for my new receiver drier.Any ideas? Thanks

Tell your local guy to look here:

http://www.atcoproductsinc.com/catalog/pdf/BeadlockFittings.pdf

top of page 3

ATCO BL-1325, bead lock 90 degree female o-ring #6 fitting; #8 hose.

An alternative is a 6x8 straight splice ATCO BL-6105 found on page 10 and then use a short length of #6 hose and a #6 hose to #6 female o-ring (FOR) 90 degree fitting.

The above numbers are for standard wall thickness barrier hose; if your guy is using reduced barrier hose then the numbers are different but are in the above catalog as is the part number decoding diagram and other useful information.

Thanks Jim after I posted the question I stumbled across ACSOURCE.COM and they had the fittings for $4.14 each so I ordered them. It's amazing one of the local places I tried today the guy told me he has been doing auto AC for 20 years and never saw one of these fittings!!! I called ICEAC in Calif. and was told the fittings were special order and were $30.00 each!! The power of the internet is an amazing thing that we shouldn't take for granted.

Yes, it and the shipping infrastructure are rather changing things. Many people, especially vendors at the local level do not have a clue. They will be left behind. Jim
