My rollcage is in..sorta...pics

I got my cage in more or less. I need to drill through the sleeves that tie the front, rear and windshield bar together. I pretty much needed to take out the entire interior, and ended up removing the rear deck and carpeting the firewall. The door bars will most likely stay off when on the street. The biggest complaint I have is the height of the rear crossbar-I want to mount my shoulder harnesses on it, but it's kinda low. I'm wondering what is the maximum angle I can live with here? Hopefully I'll finish it tomorrow night. Somehow I'm guessing the days of taking my wife out to dinner in this car are a thing of the past....

It is an Autopower.

It definitely is crossing the line from a mild-mannered user-friendly street car

Mine would not let me recline the seat enough (I am 6'5") so I did not use it.....the hoop is sitting up agaist the wall on the left still in bubble wrap.
I also think that mine has the Knee bar that goes under the dash.
I am not sure if these are sanc legal due to the non structual mounting because the floor could rip out in not reinforced.
does anyone know about that?
great for the street though.

No kneebar. These are legal for PCA club racing, as the rules spec a backing plate when mounted to the floor. I've seen a couple of these in full race cars.

Any ideas on the shoulder belt mounting? The horizontal bar is several inches below the belt holes in the seat back. Is this an issue? I've searched the net and I've seen all kinds of conflicting info. Simpson says 4" below shoulders is good, don't go above. Some say +/- 2", some say yada, yada, yada. I don't know if you can tell from the pics. When I get my seats back in, I'll post pics for opinions.

Did you just bolt through the floor to the backing plates or did you also weld the backing plates in place?

I bolted through the floor using the backing plates.

I just bought a 4' length of tube to bolt to the back of the main hoop for the harnesses, this will solve my concerns about the angle of the belts passing through the seat to the mount.
