930 A-arms on early car ?
Apart from the sway bar mounts, are there any differences between the A-arms from an '83 Turbo model & those fitted to '69-'73 models ?
If there are differences, can the Turbo A-arms (& alloy front crossmember) be fitted to the earlier cars ? Any advantages/disadvantages ?

AFAIK, the only difference between the turbo front susp. and regular is the hub, so the a-arms, struts, dampers etc. should all be the same...

I saw a post yesterday where Tyson (TRE Cup) said the 930 front trailing arms are mounted slightly differently, with the rearward mount slightly higher, to help provide some anti-dive geometry on the heavier 930's. Perhaps they will still fit, I'm not sure, but it's something to consider.
I want to say that the struts had something slightly different also, the latter style being safer. |

930 rear sway arms are completly different/shorter. 930 front A-arms should be the same, except for hubs.

I saw that, too. My impression of Tyson's comments was the pickup point was slightly changed in the rear of the front a-arm. So the geometry is different relative to the car, but the a-arm itself was the same. Hopefully, Tyson will clarify.

hmm...I never heard anything about "front trailing arms"?
There are trainling arms in the rear and they are completly different. Length, hubs, pickup-points, geometery...everything is different, apparantly to reduce squat. Thingies in front are usually called "A-arms" (as they look as letter "A") and they should be completly similar, except for turbo having solid plastic tie-rods and different hubs (to accept bigger brakes).

DW SD:
I think your presumption is correct. The altered location of the rear support ( of the front A-arm) offers a small degree of anti-dive for the 930...but the A-arm itself should work. I'd be mighty surprised if this is wrong..... Wil
