Cab. Tonneau

Is there a difference in size in the tonneau covers for manual top cars vs. electric tops? There HAS to be.

I bought a beautiful factory tonneau that was never on the car! I cannot get it to fit mine though. All of the snaps are in the right place... except the fit over and around the folded top. Even stretching (hard) won't make it fit.

In comparing to my boot, there is a difference in the pleat/seam at the rear corners.

It's for sale by the way.

Do you have the manual or electric top?

I have an 88 Carerra Cab with a manual top. Are there some measurements I can make to compare? I don't have a tonneau (who does?) but I assume it uses some of the same snap points as the boot cover. The car is in storage so give me a day or two to get any measurements.

Maybe a dumb question but; are you sure your top goes down 100% of the way?

Here are a couple of pics... not so good. I thought I would use a spotlight so my camera would focus. Anyway, the boot cover (first pic) is more "upright", and has a seam at the corner. The tonneau is flatter, with no pleat. In comparison, the "raised" area is more forward than my boot cover.

Measuring from the bottm edge of the top where it meets the body, to the highest point on the retracted top is 6.25 inches. I just measured straight down from the highest point.

As far as -- is the top down all the way... yes, as low as it's always been, and the boot cover fits with room to spare.

Thanks for taking the time to measure and compare.

As all of the snap points are in a very minor different places. Its best to buy a new one, and then have the snaps added...
