Bad brake sound
My brakes on right side sound like a dying walrus. As I brake to stop they make arrrgh, arrrgh, arrrgh sound in ever-slower rhythm to revolution of wheel. No sound at other times -- only when braking. Pads are okay. Casual visible inspection shows nothing awry. Any thoughts on what else in brake system could cause this sound?
I checked the suspension components and they seem fine. Appreciate any thoughts or leads.

Is the sound coming from the front or rear? Do you have limited slip? I had a belt break on the right rear tire, which caused the tire to be out of round so much that the differential clucth plates were slipping at slow speeds. I thought it was the rear caliper sticking but after taking it apart, I didn't find anything wrong with it. I then checked the tire while the wheel was off and noticed the broken belt. |

Interesting, I'll take a close look at tire but I'm fairly certain that is not it. Sound is coming from right rear. Very much an abrading mechanical sound, only when I brake.
The option codes for car say I do have limited slip.
