Question Handbrake Adjustment - Help

I have a 1976 911 with a 3.0 in it and I am trying to adjust the handbrake. I have the 101 Projects book and the Haynes manual, and I've done everything up to the point where they say to use a screwdriver to turn the handbrake mechanism. There is supposed to be a hole somewhere on the back of the disc, but I cannot find it. How do I get to that hole? I have read through 2 threads on this also, but I cannot find that adjustment hole that everyone mentions. I have attached two photos of the front and back of the brake setup. Can someone point out to me where the hole is located?

Thanks

It's in the front through one of those holes. Use a flashlight to see in the hole and you'll see the little cog. Push on it with a flathead screwdriver until you cannot turn your wheel. Then loosen by pushing the cog in the opposite direction a few times and it's set.

Then use a screwdriver poked through the hole to turn the red nut piece in the pic below

911mot and K. Roman,
I really appreciate your help. I got the spacer taken off, and the handbrake adjusted to the equalizer up in the cabin of the car, and now I am stuck with yet another problem. The drivers side cable for the emergency brake is not moving when looking at the two holes at the equalizer when the hanbrake is pulled up. Both discs are tight though, although when I release the handbrake, the drivers side cable sounds like it is catching on something and is not letting up, which makes the whole assembally for that side tight. I am thinking that it is a bad spring that is causing this. Next week I will take apart the brake assembally to get to the spring, and while I'm at it, I'll replace the brake shoes.
So, my next question is, what is required to take off in order to reach the handbrake spring?

Thanks!
911mot, the diagram really helps .

Matt, I believe there are 2 regular (slotted) screws on the face of the disc drum that contains the parking brake mechanism. In my 67 912, that is all that held the rear rotors on....aside from the lug nuts.

Good luck, David
