Auto Shipper Recommendation

I need to get a car shipped from Virginnia to Long Beach CA and I was hoping that you guys could provide recommendations for auto transporters. I looking at open shipping as the car is not worth a tremendous amout.
Thanks,
Kevin

Kevin,

I used a company called United Road to ship a car from Colorado to Arizona. Economical and fast. I don't know if they service the eastern USA but check with them . They have an El Monte, CA office 1-800-359-3377

Good luck

That will be expensive. I'm curious if anyone has tried posting, e.g., Craigslist, to find someone making the trek who could/would drag a car with a rented trailer.

Try DAS, MIkeS just shipped my old car to him, and said it all turned out great.

Yorkie- Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS) did a great job for me. Their number is 800-826-1083 - Talk to Richard at X 5133. As info the rate they quoted me for CA to NC terminal to terminal - open carrier was $629. I went enclosed for more $$ and overall I was very pleased.

$629 is SUPER cheap from VA to CA. I would guess it to be more like $1000.

I'll agree with DAS. Shipped my '88 from Houston to Mpls. for a grand, enclosed and babied. Only took four days!

This was discussed just not too long ago. My experience with DAS was one ok, and one bad. Here's the link.

Again please ... Shipping / Transport companies?
