Anybody running Bridgestone S-03's on a 69 - 73 911 with 6x16 wheels all around?

Now that I've spent all winter collecting 6x16 wheels and the 205/55/16 Bridgestone S-03 tires that arrived yesterday look VERY wide, I'll ask the question....anybody running this combination? I've got 21/27 torsion bars and 22 sways all around, car is set at "Euro" specs. Everything Looks like it will fit when I measure it but I'm getting a bit worried - tires are scheduled to be installed Saturday. Can anybody relieve my fears that the tires will rub, particularly in the rear?

Thanks

Jim

Jim,

205/55/16 should be not problem on the rear, but all the early cars are all a little different - only way you can tell will be to fit them on the car. With the 205s up front some have commented they are pretty close - rolled fenders may be needed to stop rub at full lock (bit then again, who goes fast on full lock!!!).

I'm running 205/55/16 on the front - no clearance problems at all. I've got 225/50/16 on the rear, but yet to run them seriously (only at 'normal' speed - no rubbing), although the car will have 30mm hollow bars in the rear and a little more camber before venturing out in earnest.

These should fit with no problems. 205/55s on 7x16s usually even fit OK in the rear.

I run 6x16 x4 & 205/55/16 x4 with S-03's

S-03's raised the car up about 1/4"over similar sized RE-71's, no clearance prob on 25.5" & 25".
