CIS fuel pump.. differences 2.7/3.0?

I need to buy a used fuel pump for a 2.7 CIS engine and was wondering if there is a difference in the pumps between the various engines? There are a couple on ebay, one is for a 2.7 (a '74) and one is from a 3.0L engine. My engine is a '77 2.7 so I'd rather use the newer pump (3.0L) if they are the same, otherwise is the any difference between the '74 and '77 (2.7)?
Thanks for all info!

3.0 puts out more volume as I am told at top range. My conversion from 2.7 to 3.0 never changed the pump but most said it would only change WOT fuel volume. I have yet to see a problem

As part of putting a Carrera 3.0 in my 74 Targa, I had the same question. Looking it up in a parts manual, the Carrera 3.0 has the same pump as the 2.7L. With that I did not change the pump. I will let you know what my WOT acts like after I get the thing started and broken in.

Looks like '77-'79 cis pumps have a different part# than the rest. My engine is '77, but do you guys think there's any real difference?

the real difference is volume. a 3.0 will require more volume than a 2.7 but should still work I think pressures will remain the same
