Why were the GP jacket threads closed? (Whad I miss?)

I was going to post something in the group buy thread because I am one impatient SOB and found that both threads have been closed by moderators.

Did I miss something?

Last thing I read was rdane was going to follow up with more sizing info. Haven't seen anything yet.

rdane 02-13-2005 01:53 PM

Leland, you didn't miss anything past the 6+ week or so delivery date. I have yet to see any samples so what was posted was the only size info available so far. You can now extend that delivery date another 3/4 weeks while we wuit on samples from Farnce unless you wnat to get stuck with stuff that doesn't fit.

This from the original buy thread:

"Delivery time and the Euro

We are expecting 6 weeks or a bit less. I gave Dominic plenty of leeway to meet that deadline. But again we are working a wholesale deal so be patient. There will be a price increase shortly because of the dollar drop against the Euro. We need to get this order made and paid for in the next 10 days to keep the current pricing that was offered.."

From the original 50 orders I have had something like 35 size changes and answered another 50 emails asking questions.

For those that haven't yet changed sizes and want to now you still need to send me an email from Pelican and not a PM on Pelican.

Get any more impatient and I'll be happy to refund your original order. That takes less time than aswering d/a questions here.

This was something Pelican, Dom and I did as a freebee. My suggestion is you might want to remember that before you get a case of the ass on delivery times.

Leland Pate 02-13-2005 04:19 PM

No no no... not getting on anyones ass. I'm not hounding on you or anyone else. I was just wondering why the threads were closed by a moderator. I guess I was thinking something happened and Pelican or Wayne shut down the group buy. Been busy at work, you see.

geez

rdane, just being curious. Thanks again for doing this - it is most definitely appreciated!:)

rdane 02-13-2005 05:13 PM

No worries, as soon as I know more you'll all know more.

Too many PMs and emails answering questions already answered. I had asked the original threads to be closed so I didn't have to keep answering questions.

Leland Pate 02-13-2005 05:25 PM

See, now that makes sense.

And I feel kind of stupid.
I can only imagine the amount of pestering you must have gotten. There is so much residual interest, guys on Rennlist are trying to organize another buy.
