clutch replacement question
I have pulled my motor and tranny for the first time (on a 911) and plan to do the normal maintenance while it is out.
oil cooler seals, breather gasket, thermo o ring, motor mounts, oil press. sender, maybe oil return tubes, as well as a heavy duty cleaning\detailing job. Any other easy low $ fixes I missed? I am also replacing the tranny input shaft seal, which was leaking, along with the clutch and any required components. My question is: can I replace just the clutch disc? and, if not, why? I know that for max performance and the best flywheel-to-disc-to pressure plate mating, all "new" parts would be best but the extra $600 + shipping for a clutch kit puts a serious crimp in my wallet right now. Can I just replace the disk for now and look at a serious clutch upgrade in a couple of winters?

Looks like a well thought out list. The clutch deal would depend on how it was performing prior. For me it should be on your list. I would reccommend re-surfacing the flywheel too. I would never replace just the disc. The whole clutch assy should be around $400.
