Moaning Noise from front end?
85 Carrera, exhibits low moaning from front end when turning at low speeds.
Any diagnostics? Car is new to me. 165K miles thanks |
wheel bearing. not too bad of a DIY project... lots of threads on the subject.

I'd agree. wheel bearings.
Grab one of your front wheels at the 12 oclock position and shake hard you will hear a possible knocking sound easy but greasy job.. |
Wheel bearings, bushings or the Mother in Law is still alive.....

Moaning isn't a problem. It's b1tching and moaning that'll put her in the shop. :)

Moaning from the front end is a good thing. Unless you're talking about cars, in which case it's probably a worn bearing.

Or a sticking brake caliper. Does it go away when you put your foot on the brake? Does it moan with anybody else - or do you have the valentine's touch?
