LM-1, passed smog, very clean

I finally got around to getting the SC smogged after numerous setbacks. I've been playing with it off and on (mostly off) for 5 months now.
the engine wanted to run lean at idle and waaaay too rich under part throttle. No matter what I did it wouldn't clean up. I replaced the air box, no change. I installed a spare WUR I had, no change. I did the injector test, rerplaced the O2 sensor, you name it I tried it. I finally decided it must be a problem with the fuel distributor. Instead of replacing it, I hooked up the output signal of the LM-1 to the lambda brain and the mixture stayed rock steady at 14.6 to one.
Smog readings?
HC measured at 25, max allowable is 181
CO measured at .08, max is 1.36
NO measured at 468, max allowable is 1364

The smog tech said he's never seen an older car like this run that clean.
Cool. Hopefully it won't raise a red flag for being too clean.
As soon as I get the tags I'm gonna drive the wheels off this car again. Only thing is, the engine runs hotter now than it ever did because it was always a bit rich before. After about 20 minutes of idling the temperature got up to the 9 o'clock position. Never did that before. It cooled right down when I started driving it though.
I never needed an additional cooler before but I may consider it now.

Would there be any advantage to richening it up @ this point?

Say you just went to 1.36 CO, would you get any reduction in temps? .08 to 1.36 is a 1700% increase.

Sammy, what are your A/F ratios under WOT accelleration? I am seeing 15.5 at idle and 11.5 at WOT. I was wondering if you could hook a LM1 or PLX unit to the lamba brain.... glad you did it Do you have pics of the wiring you did? I only have one wire on the PLX which will feed a ECU. Also, did you use the wide band or narrow band lead?

Thanks!

the second cooler is cheap insurance and given where you live traffic should be expected at times so you might want to give it some consideration. Kudos on your success.
