Subcooler Thread

Jim: I already have a ProCooler in my system.

A. Is it possible to add another subcooler?
B. Will adding another subcooler give me any significant benefit (as opposed to adding another condenser)?

As always, your a/c advice is greatly appreciated!

Great info. Thread subscribed to.
Thanks.

BTW, how are results?

Since we are back on A/C again I was wondering if anybody has bought the a/c "block off" kit that I've seen from some of the more expensive Porsche suppliers.

Its the one that comes with 4 or 6 caps and an instruction manual for the low low price of about 80 bucks. If anyone has bought this I'd love to see the directions that came with it. Also trying to source an aftermarket center vent that mounts down by the ashtray on my 82SC.

Don't want to derail this thread but I'm trying to get as much info as I can so that I only open up the system one time to do all of these mods. Procooler, 964 condensor, barrier hoses, etc.

I bought Griffith's center vent. It works very well. He now has one that not only adds a center vent, but also vents on either side of the dash (for a total of three).

Don Plumley, an enterprising Pelican, made his own center vent. Here's the thread.

Good luck!

Niner, Here are a couple of center vent options:

Unfortunately, one supplier (Yearwood) may not carry the same vent as the links are dead. Try here instead: http://www.yearwood.com/store/products_view.php?cat=3

Thanks.

Jim,
Is there a thread were you discussed the initial development and installation of your subcooler?
