the stock (curved) steel Porsche j-tubes i pulled off my car weigh just under 3Lbs including the nuts and washers. sounds like only a small amount, but, a lot of small amounts add up to significant weight savings in the long haul.

the T6 aluminum (straight) strut/stand-off that replaced my steel j-tubes weighs about a tenth (or less) of what the factory provided and are about half the length of the factory version. when i visit Andial next week i'l try to get a picture of the light weight replacement and post it.

either way, the part (light-weight or stock) is required to support the rear bumper and fender.

Hell, that's nothin' Randy. I recently lost SIX pounds in just four days. I thought about writing a diet book best seller, but somehow I don't think that "The stomach flu diet" would fly off the racks...
