Dyno Day for Boston area pelican heads!

I am looking for 15-20 diehard pelican members to participate in a dyno day in the Boston area. Great social event to talk cars, do some car cleaning, eat/drink and get that car on the dyno.

Hoping to hold event in 2 weeks - please contact me for details.

Most likely, each of us will get 2 set up pulls, + 3 printed pulls with graphs,air/fuel, HP and torque. Come join the fun and sign up!!!!

Where will you be doing this? What kind of dyno are you using?

Cheers, James

Damn Jim, I was thinking about the same thing. Based on the "First annual" attempt last year (actually 18 months ago) , I think that there's a shop in Worcester which runs open "Dyno Days" on Saturdays. When I spoke to them last year there was no commitment required about the number of people who needed to show up since Saturdays was just an open day for dyno testing. Now I just have to find their contact information...

The event will be in Framingham. I will be renting the shop for the entire day and hope to get as many cars through as possible. Brand new equipment - we will be the 1st people to use it. Just sent in from Australia - the machine can handle up to 1000 HP!!

It will be loads of fun.Depending on how many people we can get, I want to keep cost as low as possible. Hope to be 50 bucks, won't be any higher then 100. We will have full run of the facility and access to whatever anybody needs for tools etc.

Jim,
Keep me on the list for this as well. I'm not sure if my car will be ready yet, but I will try to make it in any case.

I might be in. I owe mb911 a back to back comparo on my new muffler.

I was otherwise planning on doing it locally (Hartford CT area) but since my car will be at Midnight Machineworks getting a cage then perhaps James and I can coordinate a way to take advantage of this.

The only catch for me is that while still on the dyno I need 10-15 min to get the muffler switched out before my next run. I'll have it prepped and ready to swap quickly.

Jim; I don't know about anyone else around here, but I don't drive my (non-rust proofed) 911 anywhere until there have been a couple of good soaking rains to wash the salt off of the roads. If you're planning on having it in 2 weeks, I'll have to pass on the dyno run and just show up in my daily driver to socialize and see what's going on.
