Alternator ident and corresponding regulator
Hello all,
also my 75 911s has the problem that the alternator light does not turn off going to higher RPMs. Therefore I checked the voltage during idling and measured 17,6 Volts! According to the 101 Projects and some forum messages I assumed that the regulator is defect. According to the receipts of my previous owner I should have a Motorola alternator. So I ordered a new regulator, which does not seem to match: On the left you see the new regulator (for rebuild Motorola 70W) and on the right the old SEV Marchal. To my surprise I could not find any ID on the alternator. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1108775922.jpg Now I have three questions: - What alternator do I have? - Can I operate the new regulator with the existing alternator? - If the regulator is ok how I have to wire the new regulator to the old connection? Thanks a lot in advance for your help! wullie |
