I'm wanting to know what is involved in converting a short wheelbase (68) into a long wheelbase? Aside from moving/updating the fender wells, what else? Longer/aluminum trailing arms? spring plates? torsion tube, any mods required there? Have any of you done this? Charles

New torsion tube. Huge dollars and time.
People did it back when '68's weren't worth much. These days, you'd be better off cutting up something else.

Anybody converted a short wheelbase to a long wheelbase??
Yup! Sold a '66 and bought an '88. (sorry for the smart a$$ answer, but I think this way was much more cost effective than cutting up a SWB.)
