Clutch?

Okay in abit of a jam here. On my way home earlier today I went to downshift from fourth to third at 40 mph. While trying to shift, my trans kicked it right back out into neutral, happened with all gears except 5th. I was able to get it back into first by turning the car off and putting it in gear and then starting it again. Did that twice, but had alittle more trouble the second time as i was on a hill. All the while the clutch pedal felt a little mushy.

Pulling into my garge, i put the clutch in and the car still wanted to keep moving, it just bucked as i tried to slowly maneuver myself into the garge. Now my question. What does this sound like the problem is?

I can now put it into gear since i let the car cool down from its normal operating temp of just below 180. The car now starts, but I am afraid to try and drive it again for fear of the same thing happening. Any thoughts? BTW, this is a '76 911S w/ a 915 and 3.0 engine.
