Wheel fitment question

Will the 17" Cup wheels from a 1996 Carerra C2 (not S)
fit on an '84 911? If so, are there any spacers needed?

Thanks
Chris

Bill Verburg can help more here...but I'm quite certain that the later wheels have a bunch more offset....like 55-65mm, vs the 15-23mm used for the 84.

So spacers can be used to locate the wheels further outboard ( properly), but then you'd need either longer studs ( more desirable) or the spacers that stagger the 5 bolt pattern, and you now end up with 10 bolts / wheel....not so nice, but do-able ( not recommeded for track work with 10 bolts/wheel).

I would much rather use longer studs......Even though this car will never see the track, it just makes more sense....I have not bought the wheels yet as I am in price discussion with the owner now and wanted to make sure....

Thanks

But.....changing stud length is relatively easy for the front.... a PITA for the back ( meaning? Costly if you don't do it yourself....factor that into your budget and whether it's worth it compared to other wheels).

After 63 cars, there isn't much I dont do myself (much to my wife's chagrin) except oil changes...can never seem to get rid of the old stuff in a timely fashion.....
