Question Chrome Or Polish

THIS SOLD ON EBAY A WHILE BACK. I REALLY LIKE THE TARGA BAR LIKE THAT. CAN STAINLESS BE POLISHED TO THAT LUSTER, OR WOULD IT HAVE TO BE PLATED? ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT POLISHING STAINLESS TARGA BAR OR CHROME PLATING SS? I WOULD RATHER POLISH IT IF IT WOULD WORK, BUT I'M ARAID OF THE RESULTS.

You can polish it to that finish, we do it all the time on food equipment, and my muffler! much like doing new paint on a car, compound and wheel, but the better you prep the SS with 1000 then 2000 or even 3000 the better. and it dont rust.

I'VE READ IN THIS FORUM WHERE PEOPLE HAVE MENTIONED THE S.S. FINISH ON TARGA BARS HAS WORN THROUGH? AND ALSO READ ABOUT ALUMINUM TARGA BARS? I THINK MY BAR IS A SOLID S.S. SHEET. ARE THERE BARS OUT THERE THAT ONLY HAVE A S.S. FINISH? IS THERE A POSSIBILITY THE FINISH CAN BE "WORN THROUGH"? DOES ANYONE OUT THERE HAVE A PICTURE OF A POLISHED TARGA BAR? OR EVEN A EXAMPLE OF WHAT POLISHED S.S. LOOKS LIKE?

Always go polished instead of plated.
