88 Cab Amp Advice
I recently purchased the MB Quart 6-1/2" component speakers for my 88' 911 Cab. I also purchased a Kicker 250.2 amplifier and wanted to get advice on if this is a good amp to power my config. My car only has two speakers being a factory electric top cab. Kenwood head unit that is of pretty good quality installed by the PO.
Will the Kicker do the trick? We are concerned about the length of the amp as it measures 16" long. I may purchase the 200.2 Kicker model as it is only 12-3/4" long and will fit better under the passenger seat (where the old amp is) and give the 250.2 to hubby to put in our tow vehicle. Your thoughts?

Just because your car is a factory electric top car doesn't mean that it couldn't have come from the factory with rear speakers. Lots of factory electric top cars came with rears. |

I think the smaller Kicker would be enough -- I put a smallish Sony 100Wx2 amp (it's about 13x9) under my passenger seat and there is not too much room, but there's enough (89 Targa). Even with the top off, it gives me enough power driving 6 1/2" Infinity's plus tweeters, in the doors. (I think I've read that the Quarts do like lotsa power, though.)
