Smile Cup filter lid

I'm a bit belated in posting this. I did two mods prior to running my last DE, and I'd like to share them with you. Nether added power, but really made the car a bit more fun.

First:
Since I have a spare air filter lid, I decided to cut one and make my own "cup" lid. I ran it at the last DE.
  • Did it add power? No.
Was I expecting it to? No.
    Does it sound good? Yes!
Does it increase engine access? Yes!
I'm quite pleased with the mod. Especially since I can always revert to the stock lid.

Second:
I added a home-brewed gas pedal. I have really skinny feet. I finally tired of turning my foot sideways. So part out of frugality (it cost me about $10) and part out of knowing what I wanted, I made my own gas pedal. While it may not look too fancy, it works great! It's perfectly smooth, so my foot slides over it easily. And the extension under the brake pedal is not so big that my wife complains when she drives the car.

Exactly. The sound is cool & you can finally do up that upper back clip . . .

I think I've posted on both topics like this before many times with the same pieces and same results.... glad it works for others too. Ditto....DIY....save some cash and produce a custom product *for you*....
