Any Olive Colored cars out there?

As I have been looking for an early 911 for a while.
The opportunity might be here!
The car is a 1974 (Not as early as I had hoped) and the color is Olive. Color code 3939 I think? This a a special ordered color I guess.
So I would love to see what this color looks.
Thanks.

Tim,

are you looking for an "early 911" car or something in the 70's? most on this board would classify the "early cars" prior to 74., 68-73

for example a 1973 911 and a 1974 is a very different car altogether from styling to engine, etc. .

if i may,, tim i will take this one. in california, an "early car" is 75 and older. early meaning smog exempt.....

by the way tim check your PM box.

The first pic, the '71 Targa with P#414, is a well-known color. Show that to any mother and she'll say "Oh, Baby-Poop Yellow."

Yes, at first I was looking at Porsches up to 73. The non-impact style bumpers. But if this 74 is priced in my range I would be settling for more of the reason of it being smog exempt. And a little backdating would occur.
on-ramp: Your 1970 looks very nice.
My plans are more for a car destined to be lightened and flared and ready to play on the autocross and track.

Olive is one of the sexiest colors EVER, 2nd only to the paler shades of orange. I watched this car like a hawk when it was for sale.

On-Ramp, if I can get my BMW sold before by the time you put it for sale, you'll be hearing from me. Where are you located?

On-Ramp & Kenikh thanks for posting those pics of the olive color, I now know what I will be picking up on Sunday.
The Gentleman is going to let me take the car and keep it for a week or so.
During that time a PPI will take place, and many pics for a Pelican group evaluation.
Vash.... If I can have two its only fair that you can too. Autocross Sonoma county are you going?

He'll let you keep it for a week? That's outstanding. I've always been in love with the olive color on early 911s. Second best is signal orange in my book.

I've always thought that the very '70s' colors didn't get enough cred. Glad to see I'm not alone.
