Lotsa Pics - 16x7 wheels on longhood
I'm looking to upgrade to 16x7 wheels with 205/55's on rear and probably 195/60's on front.
I borrowed a pair of 911 16x7 wheels with Bridgestone Potenza 205/55's on them. This is the car today - Original 15x6 Fuchs with 185/70's ![]() ![]() First I tested them both on the rear - 16x7 205/55's ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Then I put both on one side of the car: ![]() ![]() I think the 16x7 with 205/55's are too large in the front - Barely clears the front bumper when turning: ![]() ![]() I have to admit I think I almost like the solid black centers more than the annodized look. I'll probably go with 16x6's with 195/60's up front and 16x7 with 205/55's on the back. |

Now need to decide black centers or annodized....
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Best I can tell, the fit on the rear is okay. Could be better with some negative camber just to be safe. Overall the 16's with 205/55's are slightly shorter than the 185/70 15's. Let me know what you guys think! -Dan |

seems like the wheels fit up front on the passenger side...but not the driverside...could be parralax error tho...

The wheels up front on the passenger side are the original 15x6 wheels. Those pics show the original look (annodized paddles) vs the look with the 16x7 wheel (black centers).

This is what I did!
After a few weeks deciding on a wheel and tire combination, here is what I did!
Flower polished 16x7s fitted with P-Zero 205/50/16 on all fours. To give it the 70’s look the wheels are freshly refinished with Polished Lips and Paddles with black accents. Polished center caps. I dropped the front ¾ “ to better the stance! Certainly an improvement in handling and am happy with the look! Sorry my paint job is not a pretty are yours! Its a jewel in the rough. Actually I like the "Sleeper" look - Old - Beat. They can not figure out why this old Porsche just blew them away! Thank you, Jason ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I gotta say, I have always been a fan of polished paddles, but those black centered Fuchs against the black car and the stainless Targa bar looks excellent. It looked good with the original wheels, but even better in black.

Jaosn,
The wheels look great! What's the height to top of fender lip for front and back (from ground)? I'm running about 25 3/4" front and 25 1/4" rear. What did you have on there before? -Dan

Jason,
Where did you have the wheels refinished or did you buy them that way. -Dan

Dan,
It looks great with the 16's, I was wondering if anyone else had a rubbing in the front when they turned, I guess I have to go with a smaller tire up front. Thanks Derek ![]() ![]()
