Boy, those look very nice, nice price too. If you get some, let us know. I wonder how hard it would be to fit a Porsche. Ive got a 86.

Actually, I don't think they look nice at all ( example...the holes on the sides are in entirely the wrong place....so it screams "rice").....

There are other Far Eastern knock-offs of SRD's that look a bit nicer overall...IMHO..

wil i have been researching seat threads and you seem to pop up in most so i will inquire to you for further clearification.

when you state that the lap belt slots are in the wrong location, where would you prefer them? just for my future reference.

would they be too far forward, backward, high, or ??? because the bolstering on seats w/o the side slots in many cases would appear to push the belts back further.

I bought a pair of evo wanna-be's at that price d.o.t. rated but now being 6'-4" I must cut the chair frames off the frame. They fit me well and at $ 300.00 for two seats they are more comfartable the the factory seats . I also put in a roll bar so I need thinner seats.

Lap belt locs are waaay too far forward - I would never use these holes.
Or the seats.

The sides would take the force of lap belt usage -- bzzt, bad idea.

Correct...the holes are too far forward...or ....they shouldn't have holes at all being flip type seats with a big recess at the "join" between the bottoms and backsides.

For a quick and easy reference, simply see what the known big brand names are doing ( Sparco , Recaro, Bielstein site, etc)...and after you go nuts searching through alll these brands and their we sites, you will "see" what is good design and what is not

FWIW.....in terms of single shell seats on the cheap...I still like the FK/NEX, perhaps with a better recover at a later date when the OEM material wears down.
I think the same company(s) make a fold forward design that seems OK..but I'm a bit more leary of the added mechanism and how stout it might be ( see "FK" seat thread for both).
