Moving fan hubs...

I just got a new 5 blade fan (thanks again Bobboloo) but i need to take the hub from my 11 blade, but before i started tearing things apart, are there any tricks or pitfalls i should know about? just dont want to screw things up.
thanks...

Biosurfer...thats what I mean too,,I am assuming you mean something else,,do not go to a 5 blade as they are not good for your lil air cooled eng.

Well....let's be fair.....

Some guys say the 5 blade emits a "moan" that no 11 blade fan can match. Although the 11 blade, in concert with altered fan pulley ratios..offered the most air flow, the 5 blade provided similar "air" under similar conditions.

Poster...are you asking how to remove the rivets of the pulley section? Understand that there were maybe 3 different pulley diameters used ( 80mm..83...and 95mm) so be careful on what you mix 'n match...

Do a search...I published all that stuff on this board....

Read carefully what I said....the 5 blade often is less air if the pulley ratios that came along with that were poor. There are variables and pulley options here, too.

we've done experiments similar to this in class that shows the 5 blade will be less, but not by much, and the reason i'm switching is that 3 of the blades on my 11 are broken, causing loud vibrations at higher rpms, and i have better things to spend $100+ to replace it, plus the price for the 5 blade was right on track
