fog lamp grill

I have decided to remove the solid fog light covers on my early 911 to allow a little more air to flow to the front brakes. Has anyone fabbed a grill, screen or perferated cover to give the empty hole a little more finished look? pics would be great

Thanks,

Matt

Imagine replicating your horn grilles...slanted in the direction of the brakes. Should be an easy job, if they are unframed...

I was thinking the same thing, but not sure how easy it would be? Anybody have a donor grill.

O.K. this is the grill I have been working on. Stainless steel screen over stainless rod shaped to fit opening, right now mounted with black upholstery thread. (non permenent) A modified horn grill may be more consistent with the other trim parts, any feed back would be appreciated.

First, I would cover the bracket behind the grill with somce type of black tape so it doesn't show through whatever you use. I like the slat idea similar to the horn grills. Ones can be found for cheap at MidAmerica - at least cheap enough to modify... Post the pics when done.

Yeah, I was going to paint the mounting plate behind the grill black to try to make it dissapear, in fact that was the main reason I was looking for some type of grill to cover the hole. With the fog lamp covers removed it just looks like the car is missing trim parts.
