What are these things for?

I was admiring my car today and found acouple of things that don't make sense to me.

First is this tube in the left front wheel well that goes noewhere. Anybody know what this is for?

Also, under the dash I saw a couple of things that have me baffled. First there is a "DIN" connector that is dangling - wha tis this for? Along side it what looks like some kind of wire for power - perhaps ground wire? It's located under the radio behind the ashtray. My radio is hooked up and works fine - what would this be for?

In the same area as the above photo there is a tube that goes to nowhere. What is this?

The car is an 88 turbo cab. Thanks for your input.

First pic looks like the drain for the fuel filler surround.

Top tube is an overflow for wiper fluid bottle???

Bottom tube drain for A/C condensation.

The hose looks like the gas filler bowl drain hose. The electrical coupling looks like an old antena plug. Does the car have the original radio/antena?

Chase the electircal coupling I would suggest it has something to do with an old stereo

I'm guessing that the bottom photo isn't a drain for the AC since it seems to dump inside the car right at the Bow Tie, but I could be wrong.

Maybe the din plug is left over from a stock amp or something. My guess would be the same as the others' it comes from old stereo stuff.

The last pic might be the end of a plastic insulator tube that Porsche used on the metal wire ties.

Thanks for all of the input. You guys are great!

I couldn't see an overflow drain from the washer bottle so the fuel filler drain idea makes sense to me. I guess I could pour a little water in the fuel filler area and check to see if it comes out the bottom? Anyone see any harm in doing this?

As for the DIN and wire, I guess it could be related to the original stereo wiring - that was my initial thought. I'll have to get down in there when I have more time and trace the wires.

Thanks again everyone!

Could it be a sunroof drain tube?

I actually have that DIN too, and it's disconnected. I'm curious as to your findings.

Do you guys have the original radio or an after market radio? If you have an aftermarket radio, the din connector is for the power amp located under the passenger side floor board.

Someone might have rewired the speaker so that they are no longer powered by the amp.

Check under the passenger footwell plate. My original radio had a DIN connector that went to a module under the angled wood panel that I assumed was the SW tuner or something.

ruf-porsche - I have an aftermarket head unit. The PO also had an aftermarket stereo installed. I'll check the passenger floor board tomorrow - maybe there's an amp under there that I can trace back to this DIN.

I finally had time to get under the floorboard. There is no amp under there, but there is a black plastic block which looks like some type of electrical junction box or something - it has a Porsche part number on it but I have no idea what that is for eiather. I couldn't trace the wires that I mentioned earlier. However, my gut tells me that the wires mentioned above are left over from the factory stereo.
