RUF visit
Thought I'd post a few pics from my visit to RUF a couple of weeks back. I was impressed by the variety of projects they had going as well as how clean and orderly the entire facility was. As I've consistently heard in the past, the folks there were super.
Showroom floor:  A Yellowbird conversion. This was the third time this car was shipped to RUF by it's owner in Greece for conversions. If I recall right it started life as an SC:  The engine holding area. A 911L motor is uncovered:  An RSR restoration with the 911L in the back:  A shot of the main floor:  One of their two dynos:  Two Speedsters, a beautiful 356 and a 993 conversion:

that is unbelievably clean. You could eat off the cobbled shop floor.
We made a huge mess just dropping the engine this weekend.

For those who have not heard, the first Ruf dealership in the US has opened in Dallas. This makes a total of 2 for the world, with the other being in Japan. Great folks over there who would be happy to show you around if you are in the neighborhood.

The aforementioned Ruf dealership in Dallas sponsored our DE last weekend near Dallas, with Mr. Alois Ruf in person attending. Also his wife, and few other "Euro Babes".
On the first day a couple drove up from S. Texas in a GT3 to take delivery from Mr. Ruf himself of the new orange RGTRS that they had for sale here in Dallas. During conversation with the guy, it was asked if the RGTRS and their GT3 would be "his and hers". His response was: "she already has a GT3, hers is a track car". Apparently they also have a Carrera GT along with the two GT3's, the new Ruf and other assorted Italian autos.

Ed you are right. they also track them all! He bought that Tangerine RGTRS that is on the cover of the recent Texas Driver Magazine.

Weissach is just a dealer/importer I believe. The guys here in Dallas say they are the only Ruf Factory dealership outside of HQ in Germany and Japan.
