Idiot Questions (Carrera3), second round...
 
What are the essentail differences between the 3.0L Carrera engine and the 3.0 930 engine, besides the obvious (turbocharger, boost control, etc.)? Same displacement, same CR? Same exhaust valves? Same fuel distributors? No?

turbo has sodium cooled exhaust valve C3 does not
turbo has 240mm clutch, C3 has 225
turbo has twin fuel pumps, C3 single
turbo has 32/36 ports C3 39/35

turbo cams
IO 3&deg ATDC
IC 37&deg ABDC

EO 29&deg BBDC
EC 3&deg BTDC

C3 cams
IO 1&deg BTDC
IC 53&deg ABDC

EO 43&deg BBDC
EC 3&deg ATDC

Turbo used the breakerless ignition w/ cc rotating distributor, C3 used points type w/ opposite rotation
