Thanks Warren! Thanks also for the 917 pic. I think thats the closest to an answer I can hope for.

Yep, slide valves are cool and even more expensive and unobtainable than the high butterflies mentioned earlier.

cool thread

yes I heard slide valves are awesome...but the worry of dirt and crap jamming a slide valve in the open position is pretty scary...with the butterfly I can't think of anything short of a rock that would jam the butterflies in the open position...

hmmm...what about an adjustable injector bung...low for everyday use...if you plan to go to the track or have a lively romp you could move them up...

I am thinking there is a oval "tall" hole cut into the side of the trumpet...and the injector is mounted on a plate that in the lowest or highest position seals the oval...and a thumb screw positions the injector.

it would be best if the trumpet was 2 layers and the plate fit inbetween...you could run on a dyno/gas tester to find the optimal position...lines to the injector would have to be flexible...

okay...I apologize...it is late...and that was a fantastical idea...

Shuie,

my reading on the MFI and any other injector seems to be that the lower the injector the better for low end throttle response the higher the injector the better for high end.

I was reading an article about a bloke who changed the injection on his boxster to individual stacks for each cyclinder and moved the injector up and made a lot more HP across the range.
