Oil return tubes -quick question (GRRR!)

Did mine over the weekend, but apparently bunged up the o ring on, of course, the forward one on the drivers side-the one that's a bear on Carerras.

Rather than have to remove both, is there any chance of recollapsing the tube and just replacing the headside oring-its the one leaking. At least I used gaiter springs, so I know I can get it out of the groove-I'm thinking hose clamps and pry on the outboard side-or am I wasting time?

Yes, you can get just the rings and try it again. That one you are talking about is a real bich.

yup did mine last week. Had also 1 spare so if something like this hapaned it would be easy to fix. I guess you could put it out, if its not to long in, and inside orings sticked together.
Yea driver side is tough, but we did it with headers on and it was not that big of a deal as i was informed.
And ever since im so hapy as i lay to check for leaks and its clean!
yipieeee
Just that damn winter and snow.
Imagine to lust over 911 for 20 years and then you find one before winter. And in 5 month of ownership i did only 350km on it.( my car never saw rain, salt or snow so my heart do not allowed it to run in this mess) And in that time spend at least 200 hours tinkering with it, iin a garage.
And it was funny when i came with 911 and next day went for a ride in TT. It has 265hp and 4wd but its so dull and a kid could drive one. Lost all intrest in it, but at least wife is happy so guess it will stay. Maybe we will change it for a 3.2 with dsg gearbox. I drove one and it was beter then old one but still PORSCHE is a PORSCHE!
