Bay area pelicans-los gatos area - help please

Hi
One of my buds got a deal on a 76 S that's been stored for 20 years. But the problems he now has is 1) how to get it out temporarily from where its at and 2) ship it to L.A.- all this on a shoestring budget of course!
Can anyone help out?
Thanks
dave

To solve problem #1 I've often resorted to using my AAA+ membership. You have to tell them that the car is currently registered, wink, wink, and that you are having it towed to your mechanic's house.

where in the bay area? if you need to store it ive got a driveway in the south bay that it can sit until he gets shipping arranged. don't know if this helps, but getting it towed here is an option.

I have a large barn in Milpitas that I can store the car for a week or two if necessary.

If needed I can put it onto my trailer and take it to another Bay Area location, whether it be a shipping point (terminal) or one of the offered storage locations. Would only need to be rollable, and I have a small winch to facilitate the loading process.
