VIN plate problem........
Hey all,
Hopefully someone can help me here. I have a call in to PCNA about this also and they referred me to Stoddard. I am in the finishing stages of a interior/exterior restoration on my 77 930. During this process I removed the VIN tag from the driver side door jam of the car to paint under it too versus around it. The vehicle had a California VIN "Reassignment" tag in this spot and under the hood. The VIN tag is not in the A pillar location as I think it is supposed to be. Bottom line I think I have a theft recovery car here with a clean title and I want to make the car proper. What am I up against here? Has anyone been through anything like this? Thanks for any advice here................................C
