Open Position with Pelican Parts: Ecommerce Content Manager
Ecommerce Department Manager
Position will require you to plan, direct, and coordinate activities in the field of Internet Site Management. This person spends the greatest portion of their time in managerial work for which a background required would be consistent with that described for computer professionals such as computer systems analysts, computer scientists, database administrators, computer programmers, and computer support specialists. Manage production and supervise a team of content developers. The team is currently responsible for the following tasks: · Meets with vendors to establish new contacts and perform all related research/ development on various products. · Updates product descriptions, pricing or related · Consults with users, management, vendors, and technicians to determine computing needs and system requirements. · Gather adequate information needed to complete templates on various products. · Develops new tools for assisting customers in the on-line ordering process · Initiates and implements new sales channels · Attends various trade shows as required This position will entail the following additional responsibilities: · Prepare and review operational reports or project progress reports. · Develops performance standards and evaluates work in light of established standards. · Analyze and execute workload accordingly to meet priorities and goals. · Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others to solicit company and resolve problems · Approve, prepare, monitor, and adjust advertising budget (print and online) · Develop and interpret organizational goals, and review project plans · Supervise and manage advertising and marketing campaigns (print, online, and alternative media) · Coordinates project activities with other departments · Must be a proven self-starter with the ability to work independently without supervision · Must have previous managerial experience Preferred Candidates will be/have: - Must be highly proficient with computers, the Internet and its underlying technical structure - Automotive knowledge and/or knowledge of Porsche & BMW automobiles is a plus - Must have previous team managerial experience - Must have marketing / advertising experience and be knowledgeable of graphic design elements Qualified Candidates must be/have: · Computer proficient · Able to travel (5% local) · Related experiences · Ability to physically relocate · Experience with light HTML, Photoshop, FrontPage or Dreamweaver, and will have working experience with web development & procedures. I'd be right there Wayne if I lived down there. I used to manage a large web property, and I'm back into IT stuff now, since the market collapsed up here for web stuff a few years back.
Good luck in finding someone good, it's not the easiest thing lately up here, hopefully there are some good candidates down there. Too bad this isn't the work remotely position. :( |
