lightweight rear narrow body lwb bumper
who makes one? I checked GT racings catalogue and I didnt see anything. I see the 911R bumper but thats SWB only, right?
Does anyone make a non-RS flared glass rear bumper for a LWB car or do I have to stick with the factory steel bumpers? TIA |

Rennspeed has one in their website. They're the only ones I've found so far in my search.

I really had to exercise restraint not to buy that Tangerine car when it was up for sale! I'd like a matched set like yours some day. I'm probably going to keep the narrow body on mine with a couple of twists to make it unique. Make sure to update your progress on here, especially your center-fill conversion, my filler necks should be here next week!

oh, dont worry about me posting updates. As long as I fix more things than I break, I post updates
![]() Are you doing Minilite wheels also? Heres how mine is being lined out so far: -through the hood gas filler -minilites -BF Torino seats -OG Racing rollar tied into the B-Pillars -RSR rear coilovers |

Sounds really nice. I'm planning lots of 'glass body panels, lexan windows, center-fill gas tank, probably 911R-style front fenders and rear taillights. Updated Alum X-member and banana arms. Koni Reds all around, carrera brake upgrade with brake cooling kit. Interior will consist of a 6-point roll cage, Momo Prototipo, BF Torino seats possibly. Right now wheels are polished w/ black background 16x6&7 fuchs wheels. I'm not sure how much headway I'll make on mine this year since it looks like I'm probably buying my dad's Corvette to have something to drive in the summer until I can get this project done. I'll post updates when the sparks literally start to fly!

Patrick, no just the Ohio car is Tangerine. I finally got to see it in person last weekend and I think I did pretty good. Im looking forward to getting started on it. It has potential. '74 trailing arms and a set of RSR coilovers are in route to my house as I type and Im working an engine deal for it as well. It may be running again before too long.
Steve, thanks for the heads up on the Getty bumper. They pretty nice glass parts so I'll check into that. |

Shuie, you're making me jealous with your RSR coilovers! You should have your car done long before mine now that I've decided to embark on the quest for a 2.8RSR motor. I'll probably end up spending as much on the motor as I had originally planned to spend on a nice driver!

Jim, I was originally leaning in that direction, but the more I've thought about it I think that I'm going to eschew the trend, keep the body skinny, and deal with the traction problem by spending the money on an LSD unit instead of wider wheels & tires!

Thats a negative on the flares. At least for now anyway. 15x7 minilites and no flares for me. I love the narrow arse look of these cars with 7s on all four corners. If my latest motor deal works out I think I'll be able to get away with the 15x7s.
Now if I ever find a match (and a set of tires) for the 16x11 Minilite I just picked up, I might weld flares on the car ![]() Last edited by Shuie; 03-09-2005 at 05:07 PM.. |

Very khool cars guys. I LOVE orange 911's. I want to find a Signal orange car, '72 preferably. Strange, Shuie, I thought that I have already seen posts of pics of your Tangerine car on here somewhere. Did you have a tangerine car before this one?

That's why nearly symmetrical flares Kick Arse! ![]() Sherman, Great plan on that car. I can't wait to see progress.

Thanks, Jamie! Nice score on the 3.0, BTW. Thats going to make a great motor with those RSR pistons and Aaron's distributor. ITBs?
![]() If I ever get into the body of the car it will probably end up looking like an ST. Heres how its shaping up so far. Some of this is paid for as of right now and some of it is not A lightweight rear narrow body bumper, obviously ![]() OG Racing rollbar tied into B-pillars BF Torino Rally seats off-center 100mm through the hood gas filler, kinda like the RSR but straight up through the hood on the passenger side rear coilovers, RSR shock tower supports, '74 trailing arms front suspension, brakes, & sways will SC or Carrera 15x7 minilites Im not going to type about the engine until it happens Quote:

Here's the pic that I was referring to that you posted before, of course it's not a '72 though.

I have one (unflared LWB) that I want to sell. I don't know who made it, but its typical race car stuff. If you are interested in it let me know and I'll send you some pics.
