Tachometer and Speedometer off

Can any one give me some advice on how I can fix a problem I caused? A while back I change the color of the instruments from the stock black to the white faces. The white faces look great with the creme color interior I have. Anyways, when I put every thing back together and put the intrstument back into the dash I notice the tach and the spedometer was slow. I noticed that the needles don't bounce aroung like they did before I messed with them. The tack goes ok up to 3000rpms but it kind of sticks from there. I haven't push the car since I've notice this for fear of over revving the car. Also on the speedometer I notice is off about 7 to 10 mph. Any suggestion on what I did wrong and how I can fix it. BTW, this is on an 88 cab.

Thank for any advice...Ron

You might have installed the glass lenses too close to the needles and they are being restricted 'cause they are rubbing on the inside.---Bob

Many say after removing the needle on the speedo it needs to be recalibrated, but I was able to mark it's position and after reinstalling, it's still correct. Check with a GPS. My tach still sticks after awhile with the heat on, fine with no heat. Can't help you there.
