Any experience with Sparco seats in long hood?

Here's my dilemma... I have a set of near-new sparco torinos pulled off of a car I am going to sell (my Mini cooper), and I would like to put them in my 73.5 T.

I have the seats, sliders, and a mount that is useless in the 911 (too narrow to even be redrilled). Seems to me I need just a base...

Sparco seems to have a a 69-73 Base for $100 per side (400SB002L and 2R), but they also have a universal base. When I look at them both on sparco's PDF, neither looks like it's designed to bolt to the car, I don't see the holes that would match the floor of a 911... What's the universale base for anyway, to bolt on the floor ?

Has ANYONE here installed sparco seats in a long-hood car and lived to tell the tale ? ;-) From the same token, who do you recommend for purchase ?

I have the universal base, I just took it out of my car.

It bolts to the 4 little holes that the old stock seat bolted to. Then there should be 4 wholes on the base mount bracket to bolt the seats to.

It should be pretty cut and dry.....

Really ? I know, it's called universal, but I had a hard time imagining the universal base would match the 911 bolt holes exactly (and all the cars in the universe too) ;-) I am still puzzled, but I guess I have to believe you.

Garage
The other issue is moving the seatbelt anchors to the floor from the seat.
