Anyone near Venice, CA to look at a car?
I'm wondering if anyone near Venice, CA would look at an 89 Carrera I'm thinking of buying, as a screening for a ppi. My thought was to "screen" the car, and if it looks good, give a deposit subject to a PPI. So I would NOT expect someone to make a recommendation on purchase, just someone knowledgable to give it a look over.
If you are near Venice and can make it in the next few days, I'd be forever grateful

A sure bet would be to have the owner drive it over to Otto's in Venice for a quick looksee. John knows the cars extemely well and will give you a heads up. A great place to carry out the full PPI as well.
John may be a little terse and won't sugar coat anything, which is in your favor at this point. Don't waste his time; he sure won't waste yours. |

I'll look at it for you if you want, just PM me to arrange it. The guy's phone# is on the CL ad, so that's no problem. If you are serious about buying a car I would not dilly-dally, this car will get sucked out from under you.

Thanks to Zeke and Speeder ... Speeder you have the right car! Zeke, I had a nice conversation with John and arranged for him to take a look at it on Monday. I'll let you both know what happens, and thanks again! This is a fanatastic community!
