Question Can someone shine the light?

This is probably a rookie question, but here it goes...How can I tell if the PO had installed H4's, or if my car still has H5's? Are they labeled somewhere?
Thank you...

The H'4s say H4 on the front of the lense. Also I believe the H5's are clear glass on top and the H4's are not.

Thanks Kurt...
My headlights read:

D
O OH 13V
T SAE-H-86 LE1805E 1305 613005

Can anyone positively identify these headlights?
Thank you...

Those are H5's, they have a sealed plastic reflector which reaches all the way to the glass at both top and bottom. The H4 reflector is a vertical metal cup and does not reach the glass at the bottom of the light.

ditto that - those are H5's. The H4 lenses appear to be joined to the bezel, where the H5's have a distinct gap all around the lenses.

After reading this thread I know I have H5's now. However mine do not look as clear as the ones pictured. My lenses look "a little" milky. Do they just detoriate over time and begin to get milky? If so, can you just purchase new lenses without replacing the whole assembly to get them to look crystal clear?

You cannot seperate the lenses on H5's but they are easy enough to clean inside. I did mine about a year ago. Do a search and you should be able to find the old posts.

The H5's have the aiming "teets" on them....and this lens clearly shows this. A search will reveal more on this topic...much has been posted.
