Patience, heat, patience, penetrating oil, patience, dremel tool...
Of course i removed mine with the engine out and on a stand but I am sure it can be done. Good luck.

You can go into the site and enter your entire order, put in the personal data and shipping address and it will calculate the shipping for you without you having to put in your credit card number. Their rates are very good. I just ordered some brake line hoses on Tuesday and received them yesterday here in SLC. Great service!

If you've done the research great if not read on....

As stated earlier take your time removing exhaust flange nuts. My engine was on a stand as well...upside down to make it easier. I sprayed with PB Blaster. Then came back an hour later and sprayed more. I tried heat but it didn't seem to help. Once the wrench came out of the tool box it was at least an hour until all 12 nuts were off. No broken studs.

Thankīs for the advice, and I suppose Iīve my work cut out as the engine in the car. Just have to take it easy and try to not break any studs.

Double check that the SSI flanges are flat. One of mine was not so I had to double up on the gasket between the SSI and muffler. I did not notice until they were on so I did not go through the effort to remove them. It's ok now with the double gasket but I would have had it machined if I noticed it earlier.

Yesterday I got the old system removed, no broken studs. But I had to grind all the nuts on the premuffler as they were round and totally rusted. As I didnīt have time to work on the during weekdays last week, I only sprayed CRC on the studs.

Next drain out the oil and replace oil-lines.
