Looking for 911 70' or 80's in South CT
Hi,
I am looking for a nice 911 from the 70' or early 80's (SC). I am planning to use the car for a 3.6 convertion, so I am not too concern about engine problem. Other, than that I am looking for a car in very good condition. In particular, no rust and nice interior. Btw, any hint on where to look for car is greatly appreciated. I am coming from abroad and I have no idea where to start. I live in Darien, CT thanks

I don't know about a 911 around there, but the best pizza in New England can be found at Post Corner Pizza. I grew up in Wilton and PCP was pizza mecca.

try the bargain news. www.bargainnews.com. It's a CT area paper which has ads for all sorts of stuff. The sellers in there are more realistic. There is currently a 1977 911 w/125k miles for $3500.
You can also get the local P-Car chapter newsletter "Challenge" but everyone in there thinks their car is made of gold and there are usually only 3-4 911's for sale each month. Also try the Connecticut Post. They have a website too.

Post Corner is good if you like greek pizza but I wouldn't steer Mario into thinking it's the best in New England. A trip into New Haven has to be made before anyone can judge for themselves what's best. In New Haven try Pepe's, Modern, or Sally's before passing judgement. Little City Pizza in Simsbury is about the best in the Hartford area.

Since you are 'from abroad' you might not know the basics:
Post a WTB in the classified here on Pelican www.rennlist.com www.autotrader.com www.cars.com www.pca.org also check individual regions classified www.craigslist.com Then, there's all of the dealers sites. Good luck Ian

Thanks a lot to everyone for your comments, I will start researching the sources you mentioned right away...and don't forget to let me know if you know about a nice car near here.
Cheers
